Primäres Ziel der Österreichischen Streitkräfte ist die militärische Verteidigung Österreichs. Dies wird nach den Prinzipien eines Milizsystems durchgeführt.

Generierung von kartographischen sowie thematischen Karten auf Basis von Satelliten-und Luftbildern. Daher verfügt die IMG auch über eine hohe Expertise in der Generierung eines gemeinsamen Operations Bildes,
Das ist ein wichtiges Thema für ein effizientes Katastrophen-und Notfallmanagement und trägt dazu bei, den Einsatz von Hilfe in Katastrophensituationen zu unterstützen.

which constitutes an important topic for efficient disaster and emergency management and helps support the deployment of assistance in disaster situations.
